Confetti Magazine Photoshoot

This day last week I got to take part in a fabulous bridal shoot for not 1 but 2 covers of Ireland’s best loved bridal magazine Confetti!

What happens at a cover shoot I hear you ask?

Well the 8AM start is not for the faint hearted! As I arrived at the industrial style building I was intrigued as climbed the concrete stairs which opened out into a white washed loft style room. Very New York! I met the team; Laura Cunningham, Aimee Moriarty from Confetti, photographer Anita Sadowska, stylist Carmel Daly, makeup artist Ann Marie Carey Judd and hair stylists Glen Cullen and Cian Kavanagh #DreamTeam

Model Katie Larmour was up first. A dainty brunette, she was a total beauty even before the beauty team took over!

Laura shared her vision for what nails, hair and make-up would work for this Autumn bridal look. The colour we chose for the nails was ‘Forever Beauty’,  a peach shade with a metallic finish from Gelish. Metallic nails were a huge trend on the runway at New York Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2016.

Next we had Grace O’Mahony a gorgeous blonde dolly! For this summer bride we used a custom blend of Gelish ‘Pink Smoothie’ and ‘Little Princess’ which was sugary pastel pink shade. A similar nail colour was spotted for Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2016 at New York Fashion Week.

The bridal gowns were out of this world.

Seeing all that goes on behind the scenes of a photo-shoot and how everything comes together is amazing! Every little detail has to be exact. It was a great experience and I’m so looking forward to working with the team again!
