I’m sure at this point the cover of April’s Social & Personal magazine has been spotted and a copy purchased by just about every fashion follower in the land!! The cover shot showed a model in a bright yellow dress surrounded by the flowers and fauna of spring. ‘Spring chicken’ was the vision of super talented make-up artist Nicki Buglewicz, who also played the role of Creative Director. Her creativity and input into each area of the shoot was inspirational! As well as the cover image, the magazine features a ten page editorial where beautiful model Faye Dinsmore was like an animal whisperer surrounded by fluffy chicks and rabbits!

The shoot itself took place in the stunning Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise, in one of their fabulous suites. The hotel staff were so professional and helpful for anything we needed. The beauty team on the day was… Make-up by Nicki Buglewicz, hair by Stephen Kelly from Zeba and nails by Michele Burke (obviously!) using Gelish ‘my one blue love’ and ‘tan my hide’.

Roxanne Parker was the stylist, her quirkiness and passion for fashion was evident in the pieces; I was like a magpie to all the fabulousness! Photographer Anita Sadowska brought the beautiful set to life. It’s always a pleasure working with this lovely lady!  What a dream team!

During the day we shot about ten different looks and the clothes included a mix of both high street and high end pieces including some gorgeous accessories. I had my eye on a pair of Jimmy Choo sparkly heels worn in the cover shot. They were jewelled with a white ostrich feather attached, divine! Just putting it out into the universe…I’ll keep dreamin’!

The colours we chose for the nails, were beautiful spring shades, ‘my one blue love’ a soft pastel blue and ‘tan my hide’ a nude with a blush pink undertone. These complimented each outfit perfectly.

Every time I take part in a photo shoot I’m mesmerised at the attention to detail and creativity the goes into this art. Being part of the creative team and getting the opportunity to express yourself is a great experience; I love that it’s part of my job!
